Standing “O” Winners
The Odd Couple:
James Posey- James was listed as understudy for the role of Murray. He made it almost every practice and was definitly ready when the time called for him to hit the stage. He was able to get one show under his belt and he took the torch and ran with it. All the other shows he was the first one asking where he could help. From being an usher to helping tear the set down after the shows run was over, he was ten toes in. His hard work and dedication to keeping the show going is what the Standing “O” is all for
The Standing “O”
What Is a Standing “O”?
Not every great performance happens in the spotlight.
The Standing O is a special recognition from Standing Ovation Station given to one performer who made the show better simply by being there.
They may be the lead. They may have three lines. They may be standing somewhere in the back of the ensemble doing something that half the audience never notices. But we noticed.
Maybe it was a perfectly timed reaction. A character choice that made a scene funnier. An energy they brought every time they stepped onstage. Or maybe they took a small role and somehow made you watch them every time they appeared.
The Standing O isn't about who had the biggest role, the most lines, or their name at the top of the program.
It's about impact.
It's for that performer who added something extra. The person whose presence, choices, and commitment helped turn a good performance into a better one.
There are no nominations. No categories. No complicated voting system involving accountants and suspiciously sealed envelopes.
Just one person who made us say:
“Yep. The show was better because you were in it.”
For that, you get a Standing O. 👏🎭
